Infertility treatments: definition and options
Infertility can be addressed through assisted reproductive technology. The most common treatments are artificial insemination and in vitro fertilization.
Egg vitrification and freezing is an assisted reproductive technology (ART) that allows the preservation of female fertility in order to have the chance of being a mother in the future when the woman is ready to do so.
Legal donor-egg treatments in the USA
US legislation allows both conventional IVF and ICSi using donor eggs. Moreover, PGD and surrogacy are addressed as additional techniques in the regulations governing this field in the majority of U. S. states.
Embryo quality and grading
Assessment of embryo quality is determined by checking their development once a day from the moment of fertilisation to the day in which embryo transfer is performed –on day 3 or day 5, depending on the case.
