Indications for PGD


Those couples with greater chances for having embryos with any genetic alteration are indicated to undergo a pre-implantation genetic diagnosis in which each embryo’s cell is evaluated so that only those embryos which are genetically healthy are transferred.

Embryo quality and grading

Grade I

Assessment of embryo quality is determined by checking their development once a day from the moment of fertilisation to the day in which embryo transfer is performed –on day 3 or day 5, depending on the case.
