Egg donation in Croatia is governed by the Medically Assisted Procreation Act No. 86/12. According to it, only heterosexual couples who are unable to use the woman’s own eggs can use donor oocytes.

Artificial insemination can be done using donor semen, in which case the results are usually better than those of artificial insemination by husband.
