When donor-egg IVF is to be performed, it can be done conventionally or through ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection).
Choosing between one technique or another will depend on several factors such as gamete quality, the cause of infertility, the preferences of the fertility clinic, the need for additional techniques, etc.
