When the woman reaches the 20th week of pregnancy, it is time to perform a morphological ultrasound to evaluate the embryo in detail.
If any anomaly is detected in the embryonic morphology, the specialist would advise carrying out an invasive prenatal diagnosis. Therefore, he/she will most likely recommend amniocentesis.
On the other hand, your baby's nipples and, if it is a girl, her mammary glands develop during this 20th week of pregnancy.
