Hypothalamic amenorrhea

Have you ever asked yourself: “If I don't have my period and I'm 25, am I already in menopause?” or “I don't have my period, what's happening to me? I'm not pregnant!”

A girl can get very frightened if, in addition to feeling fat and not wanting to eat because if so she gets fatter (and moreover she goes to the gym to work her body out, in order to lose weight and look nicer to her boyfriend), she thinks she's pregnant because she has not had her period for over three months. She want to tell neither her boyfriend because she'll scare him to death, nor her friends, beacuse they will look at her, and this stresses her even more. When she considers visiting the gynecologist, even if she's going to feel deathly ashamed, she gathers her courage and she goes there, finding out that her disease, functional amenorrhea, is curable with psychological and gynecological (hormonal) treatment, and lots of love from people around her.
