When a woman undergoes artificial insemination (AI) treatment, it is advisable for her to rest for 15-30 minutes after the actual insemination. Once this time has elapsed, the woman can return home and continue with her daily routine, although avoiding strenuous exertion.
In addition, the specialist will prescribe the patient progesterone, normally vaginally. This drug will help prepare the endometrium for pregnancy.
Finally, the woman should take a pregnancy test 15 days after the insemination. If the pregnancy test is taken before this date, the result could be wrong.
