One of the most frequent doubts of parents who are going to opt for baby led weaning (BLW) with their baby is about the foods they can offer. Always keeping in mind the list of forbidden foods, the truth is that you can offer the baby any food (always with the right shape, size and texture) that is not on that list. Therefore, you can offer the baby
- Ripe fruit so that it has the right consistency. Hard fruits such as apples or pears should not be offered raw.
- Vegetables.
- Well cooked meat, in strips or ground to make a hamburger.
- Fish, except large fish.
- Legumes, with which hamburgers can be made.
- Cereals.
- Egg, well cooked.
There is no established order of which foods to include first. However, the most nutritionally rich foods and foods rich in iron should not be left out.
