Not all pregnancy tests have the same sensitivity. Blood pregnancy tests are much more sensitive than urine pregnancy tests, as they are able to detect beta hCG hormone from 1-5 mIU/mL.
Urine pregnancy tests, on the other hand, begin to detect the hormone when it is found in concentrations above 25-50 mIU/mL.
