Comparison of the sensitivity of pregnancy tests

Not all pregnancy tests have the same sensitivity. Blood pregnancy tests are much more sensitive than urine pregnancy tests, as they are able to detect beta hCG hormone from 1-5 mIU/mL.

Urine pregnancy tests, on the other hand, begin to detect the hormone when it is found in concentrations above 25-50 mIU/mL.
