Cereals and potatoes, the farinaceous group, should be part of the pregnant woman's diet. This type of food should occupy a quarter of the plate, leaving half of the plate reserved for vegetables and the remaining quarter for protein-rich foods.
As for cereals, whole grains should be chosen in order to avoid the consumption of refined flours. This will increase the fiber intake, so important to alleviate constipation during pregnancy, along with hydration and staying active.
Finally, french fries should be avoided, as they are high in calories and salt.
