Between 50-80% of children of alcoholic women do suffer from some of these anomalies: microcephaly, short and turned-up nose, intrauterine growth retardation, etc. Drinking alcohol during pregnancy is also associated to anomalies in the limbs and spine, and to congenital heart defects.
