Embryo at zygote stage.
This is how an embryo looks like two days after egg fertilisation by sperm.
Its cleavage pattern is in the 2-cell stage, which means it is developing well. Ideally, it would be in the 4-cell stage, but being at the 2-cell stage is, in principle, not a problem at all.
The development of this embryo should be followed closely in order to decide whether it will be loaded into the maternal uterus by means of embryo transfer.
