When should gonadotropin blood levels be measured?

By Silvia Azaña Gutiérrez B.Sc., M.Sc. (embryologist).
Last Update: 01/31/2022

Because gonadotropin levels vary throughout the menstrual cycle, it is most usual to test gonadotropin levels at basal conditions, i.e. in the first days of the menstrual cycle (day 1-4 of the cycle).
