Why would I need a testicular biopsy?

Well, a testicular biopsy is a process by which a small sample of the testicular tissue is removed and this is the area where the sperm production occurs. Your doctor may order this test if there is a case of azoospermia (basically, a zero sperm count). By ordering this test, your doctor can find out if there is actually sperm production taking place. Usually, this doesn't present much discomfort to the male.
