Pregnancy after miscarriage

The general recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO) is to wait about 6 months after an abortion to attempt a new pregnancy. This time will be sufficient for the woman to recover both physically and emotionally to face a new pregnancy.

However, there are studies that indicate the benefits of getting pregnant before these 6 months. Some of the advantages would be to reduce the rate of miscarriage, reduce the probability of ectopic pregnancy, reduce the probability of preterm delivery and reduce the probability of low birth weight.
