Do you shoot blanks after a vasectomy?

      hello dr,
      i did a vasectomy 5 months ago and although i’m sure i don’t want more children (already have 3) i have a new partner and i don’t want to disappoint her… i want my ejaculations to be normal, what can i do to increase my volume? will i shoot just blanks?

    • Dear Oscar smith,

      This is a common misconception about vasectomies, but the answer is no: a vasectomy doesn’t affect the semen volume. Keep in mind that only less than 3% of the total semen volume is made up of sperm.
