I’ve scheduled our first visit in this center. My partner and I are looking for pregnancy options for lesbian couples in which both can actively partake. As far as I understood, there is a form of IVF in which one of us will carry the pregnancy to term and the other one will be the egg donor? I would love to get a more detailed explanation since I have no clue how the procedure will be. Would be glad to hear from other couples who underwent a fertility treatment at Lane Fertility.
Apart from this, we’re also looking for further suggestions on another 2-3 fertility clinics since we want to compare and analyze things carefully.
Thank you!!06/20/2020 at 9:42 am
Reciprocal IVF (RIVF) can be defined as a type of in vitro fertilization aimed at lesbian couples who do not have fertility issues. The eggs from one partner are inseminated with donor sperm, and the resulting embryo(s) transferred to the other partner, who will carry the pregnancy to term and give birth.
The steps are like in a conventional IVF, consisting of ovulation induction of the egg donor in order to produce multiple eggs which are then extracted by means of follicle puncture. The eggs obtained are subsequently fertilized with donor sperm and kept in culture for between 3 and 6 days. Meanwhile, the partner who will carry the pregnancy will get her endometrium prepared with hormonal treatment. Once receptive, the embryo with the best characteristics will be transferred into her uterine cavity. Read about the whole process here: Reciprocal IVF- How does it work?
Feeling comfortable is important when choosing a fertility clinic. Therefore, we at inviTRA recommend visiting at least two or three fertility centers in order to compare your impressions of each of them. Undergoing a fertility treatment is already physically and emotionally exhausting, so avoid any additional inconvenience. In our clinic directory, you will get a list of fertility centers in your preferred area. Here is the link: Clinic Directory California.
Furthermore, you can also access our fertility report. This tool helps you selecting suitable fertility clinics and treatments based on your personal situation. Besides, you will get a detailed explanation of how your fertility treatment works, a cost estimate and useful tips for your first visit.
Hope this helps,
wish you all the best.06/30/2020 at 9:48 am

I’m also considering Lane Fertility but have somewhat mixed feelings. I went through all the reviews on the Internet, some are good, some are bad and I really don’t know if I should make an appointment. How do I know if it’s the right clinic for me? I’m new to all this and don’t know which aspects to keep in mind when choosing a fertility center… Can someone guide me here, please?07/18/2020 at 7:59 pm
