you absolutely can go to your first consultation without insurance. However, I advise you to ask about the approximate fee of your consultation since you’d have to pay it out-of-pocket.

During the first consultation, your doctor will ask you questions about your medical history, previous fertility treatments (if any), contraception, questions related to your menstruation, etc.
It’s also highly advisable to bring as many reports and tests as possible to your first consultation in your fertility clinic so that your infertility specialist can make a profound diagnosis based on information available. Hey!
I’m currently for IVF at the Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago. To get a general idea, just the visit itself cost me $250.
Apart from this, they charge extra fees for a pelvic ultrasound which is another $250, they also calculate additional costs for blood tests and $70 for the sperm analysis of your partner (if you’re in a relationship).

Can someone guide me? I tried to conceive naturally and it didn’t work out. So I’m looking for professional help. I’m from California but there are so many fertility clinics, I absolutely have no idea how to chose a clinic nor how to chose a fertility treatment.

I’m sorry to hear this. If have been trying for more than one year to get pregnant, it’s high time you go to a fertility center. It’s the specialist who will be in charge of diagnosing the underlying condition which prevents you from conception and establishing the appropriate fertility treatment afterwards. Feeling comfortable in a fertility clinic is very important. Undergoing any kind of fertility treatment is a hard road and can be emotionally very exhausting, so try to avoid any additional inconvenience. For this reason, from inviTRA we always advise you to visit at least two or three fertility clinics before deciding so that you can compare your impressions of each one.
