Getting angry after Embryo Transfer

    Hi,

Today’s day 2 of my embryo transfer and I got really upset and angry at my DH. Was yelling, stressed, kicked a shelf, just overall so frustrated and angry. Not proud of myself but couldn’t control my emotions. I’m now really worried that this would cause harm to my embryo. This shouldn’t be the sole cause of a potential BFN, right?

  2. Hello winter2018,

Mood swings are a common symptom due to the medications you’ve been taking to prepare for the transfer. 2 days post embryo transfer is still too early for the embryo to have attached, so this symptom can only be due to the effect of medications in combination with a bit of stress.

Although there’s no scientific evidence that psychological stress can have any influence on the outcome of IVF, yelling, kicking objects, and being angry doesn’t help or improve the outcomes. So my advice is that you try to keep calm.

    I hope this helps,

    Best regards
