Pregnancy or hormonal imbalance?

    Hi,

I’m very worried, because I’ve been bleeding with a light red color (sometimes light brown) for a month. At first, I thought it was my period showing up, but then on 25 January it started and disappeared after a whole week. The day it disappeared (1st of February), I had sex with my boyfriend. We used a condom, although he rubbed his penis a little bit on my vagina.

Today, it’s been a week ever since and I’m still bleeding with that light red color I described before, although it turns yellowish when dries, except on Monday, when I it turned into brown spotting. My breasts are swollen, I have small cramps on the left side of my stomach and I think I’ve high temperature.

I’ve to add I’ve been pregnant before, last year to be precise yet the symptoms today are not the ones I had then. I’m not sleepy or tired, my breast pain has almost disappeared and I feel no pain on my uterus.

Can anybody tell me if this is an infection or if I’m pregnant? Or if this is an hormonal imbalance? Please, I’m worried.

    Thanks for your attention

  2. Hello Sublime with S,

chances for you to be pregnant are very low, since you had sex using a condom and what’s more you are still spotting. The bleeding/spotting pattern you’ve described is rather uncommon; therefore, it seems to indicate that there is some hormonal imbalance. However, my advice is that you visit an specialist in order to check your hormone levels and determine the causes behind these menstrual irregularities.

    Regards
