It is easy to confuse the symptoms of the listerious one with those of another pathology like the flu, since they are not well defined symptoms. In general, headache, muscle pain, fever, nausea and/or diarrhoea are common.
Even so, listeriosis is not a serious infection for adults. On the other hand, if it is transmitted to the fetus during pregnancy, listeriosis can have serious consequences on the fetus, affect its development and even cause death.
