Multiple pregnancy is considered as a high risk type of pregnancy. When pregnant with twins, triplets, etc., women should undergo further medical evaluations and, in many cases, rest is required as well.
Assisted reproduction, as a consequence of fertility treatments, has been responsible for a great amount of multiple pregnancies. However, over the last few years, researchers in the field of reproductive medicine have been trying to prevent the proliferation of these types of pregnancies.
