Baby development during the 9th month of pregnancy

The ninth month of pregnancy marks the beginning of the latest stage of pregnancy, and covers from weeks 33 to 36.

At this point, the baby is fully stuck in the pelvis, that is to say, with the head placed above the cervix.

On average, a 36-week fetus can measure up to 50 cm long, and weight around 2200-2800 g. This weight keeps on increasing at the rate of 30 g per day approximately.
