When infertility of unknown origin (ODE) is diagnosed, it is usual to start with a low-complexity assisted reproductive treatment such as programmed intercourse. If pregnancy is not achieved, the next step is artificial insemination (AI).
For this fertility treatment, the woman will receive hormone medication to slightly stimulate her ovaries and produce 1-2 ovarian follicles. When these follicles are the correct size, ovulation will be induced and the actual insemination will take place. From this point on, the 15-day beta wait until the pregnancy test begins.
