How to preserve a woman’s eggs

To preserve their fertility, females have to visit a fertility clinic and follow the steps as indicated by a fertility doctor:

  1. Self-administering hormonal injections to trigger the production of multiple eggs.
  2. Undergoing ovum pick-up (OPU) to collect the mature eggs from the ovaries.
  3. Once retrieved, the egg cells will be frozen by means of egg vitrification.

Thanks to the vitrification method, the ova are stored in liquid nitrogen at -196°C for an indefinite period of time until the woman decides to have children.
