Hello Doctor, can you give me a clue? I’m very concerned because I’m 20 days pregnant and I experienced symptoms during the very first days (days 8-12) but from that moment on I stopped having symptoms, and now I feel as if nothing was inside my body… I’m afraid I’ve lost my baby, is it possible? Plz, help me… This is my 10th IVF attempt.April 22, 2016 at 12:09 pm
Each woman’s body works differently, especially during pregnancy. Some women may experience early pregnancy symptoms and then nothing at all during the following months, while others may not start noticing anything until the second trimester of pregnancy onwards.
In principle, there is no reason to worry about. However, my advice is that you ask your doctor and take a blood pregnancy test to see if your beta-hCG levels are rising, which would be an indicator that everything is working as it should.

on June 14 I had a blastocyst embryo transferred, grade A. On Jun 17 I took my beta-hCG test and the result came positive, with a 350 level. Doc says I should come back on July 10 for my 1st ever ultrasound scan… but i’m concerned coz after so many BFNs i don’t think this time it can possibly work…
My biggest fear is that a few days before my bloodwork i felt breast soreness and abdominal pain as if it was my periods coming you know, but after that i haven’t feel anything at all and i’m worried. Pregnancy symptoms have disappeared and that’s why i believe my embryo is not within me anymore, is it possible? or what is going on? i know it’s too early (i’m 5 weeks preg) but 2 ways ago i was having pregnancy symptoms and now nothing… should i be concerned? what do u recommend? another beta-hCG test? or what?

Each pregnancy is different as well as each woman is different. For this reason, while some feel lots of pregnancy symptoms in every stage of pregnancy, others do not feel anything at the beginning and start to feel something after a few months. This means there is no reason for you to be concerned now.
My advice is that you follow you doctor’s instructions. If s/he says you wait up until July 10 for your first ultrasound scan and confirm your positive beta-hCG test, then the only thing left for you to do is waiting patiently. Feeling no symptoms doesn’t mean miscarriage has happened.
Leaving fears and stressful situations behind is crucial now. Attitude is in many cases the key 😉
All the best!June 28, 2016 at 3:07 pm
