Hello, I’m in the middle of the process to donate my eggs but a friend told me that it can cause me to have polycystic ovary syndrome… I know a few girls with that problem and it causes women to have many problems. I’m very worried, in need of confirmation from a doctor. If egg donation causes pcos, I will cancel my cycle, no doubt.May 16, 2017 at 2:08 pm
No, PCOS is not related to the fact that a woman donates her eggs, and neither is infertility. Keep in mind that, if not donated, those eggs would have been expelled by your body anyway, so there is no reason why donating eggs can lead to not having babies in the future, or developing hormone problems such as PCOS.
