Can you get pregnant not during ovulation?

Hey! about 9 days ago I had sex with a boy and it was unprotected… It wasn’t on my fertile days but now my period is late and I’m getting a lot of pregnancy symptoms… What are my chances of being pregnant if I didn’t have sex during ovulation? I’m very worried because he’s not my boyfriend and I don’t think we can make it together…

  2. Dear Waterfall22,

Yes, you might be pregnant. In women with regular cycles, ovulation occurs approximately on day 14 of the cycle (10-16 days before their next period starts). Once you stop bleeding, the next cycle begins, and the truth is that pregnancy can occur some time within the cycle, not on your most fertile days.

    I hope this helps,
