Hello, I’m traveling to the US to use donor eggs (I’m from Germany), but my husband and I would like to choose our baby’s gender in spite of donor eggs. We know it’s legal in the United States, but we’re afraid the cost is too high – egg donation in the USA is itself an expensive process, been saving for years! Can you give us an idea? We find it also a way through which we can make sure our embryo is free from genetic problems… the genetic screening is an advantageous method. Thank you very much, we’re very excited & happy!

    Hello emma,

Well, the approximate price of a donor-egg cycle with PGD gender selection is around $30,000. It depends on the fertility clinic, though. This price does not include the donor services – the cost of egg donation in the USA may range from $30,000 to $65,000. This article will provide you with further information: Donor-egg IVF cost in the USA.

I hope I have been able to help,

Wishing you the best of luck

I am so sorry but it so expensive in US… I haven’t checked the donation prices and only have been looking for the surrogacy programs’ ones but now I see that they do not differ that much. If it is too expensive for you, if you have been saving for ages as you have said. Maybe you should look for the clinics closer to you, there are a lot of the clinics that provide much cheaper services even with pgd than in US.
anyways, good luck to you, hun!
