Gonal is a gonadotropin.

This medicine is prescribed to women during controlled ovarian stimulation in an artificial insemination, a conventional in vitro fertilisation or an ICSI cycle.

Its format is Gonal-f 300 IU/0.50 ml (22 micrograms/0.50 ml) solution for injection in pre-filled pen.

    Follitropin alfa is a recombinant follicle stimulating hormone (r FSH) obtained from Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells by recombinant DNA technology.
  • QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION: 22 micrograms of follitropin alfa in 0.50 ml, equivalent to 300 IU.
    Excipients: 30 mg sucrose, 0.555 mg disodium phosphate dihydrate, 0.225 mg sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, 0.05 mg methionine, 1.5 mg m-Cresol, 0.05 poloxamer 188.
