How to treat oligospermia

Males with low sperm count (oligospermia) who are unable to achieve a natural pregnancy can have children thanks to assisted reproductive techniques.

Depending on the severity of oligospermia, the technique used will be intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF).

With mild oligospermia, it is possible to achieve success by means of IUI. This technique is simple and cost-effective, and is especially indicated for young women without fertility issues. In cases of mild-to-moderate oligospermia, IVF would be the most appropriate option, either classical IVF or IVF/ICSI.
