When it comes to deciding who is going to be playing each role in a reciprocal IVF treatment, the medical requirements for each mother is to achieve a pregnancy.

As regards the woman who contributes the eggs, she should have a good ovarian reserve, without genetic alterations that might compromise embryo viability.

The birth mother should have a normal uterine cavity, free from potential diseases that could make an ongoing pregnancy impossible.
