Tail defects in sperm

Defects in the tail of sperm cells cause movement issues, which hinders their capacity of traveling to the Fallopian tubes, where fertilization takes place. Thus, in males who produce sperm with defects in the tail, achieving a natural pregnancy is considerably difficult. This condition is known as asthenoteratozoospermia (poor sperm morphology and motility).
