Arcuate uterus diagram

Having an arcuate uterus is a congenital uterine anomaly that results in the formation of a small septum in the uterus due to an incomplete resorption of the septum through which the primordial Müllerian ducts were fused.

However, this is the least severe of all uterine malformations. As one shall see, an arcuate uterus looks very much like a normal uterus and is rarely a cause of female infertility.
