Gamete donation is an assisted reproduction technique that requires for egg and sperm donors the following conditions to fulfill:
- Gamete donation can be done anonymous or public. Donors will receive financial compensation which depends on the gametes obtained and their previous experience.
- Donors must be over 21 years old and under 31 years old in the case of women.
- Clinics must ensure that no more than 6 children are born from the same donor, including own children.
- Donors must be in good physical and mental health. To do so, they will have to pass a series of medical and psychological tests.
