Egg donation can be done either using fresh or frozen eggs.
If donor eggs are directly used by the recipient woman, synchronization between their cycles will be necessary. As this complicates the process, using frozen donor eggs, and later fertilizing and transferring them when the recipient is ready is generally easier and more effective.
