What is an embryologist?

An embryologist is a person specialized in the field of embryology, i.e. the study of embryonic development. Therefore, embryologists are the specialists of in vitro fertilization (IVF) laboratories in the field of practical assisted reproduction.

They are in charge of manipulating the eggs and sperm to produce fertilization in the laboratory and embryo development. In addition, embryologists are in charge of analyzing the evolution of the embryo until it is transferred to the mother's uterus to await implantation and gestation.
