Yes, type C or C-quality embryos can be frozen (usually using the vitrification technique).
It is true that the quality of an embryo classified as C is intermediate and that it has a lower implantation potential than A or B quality embryos, but C embryos can indeed implant and lead to a pregnancy.
Therefore, the usual practice is to transfer an A or B embryo (if available), and the C embryos are vitrified for another future embryo transfer.
