When performing IVF with PGT, specifically PGT-A, an embryo without chromosomal abnormalities (euploid) is chosen for transfer. However, despite transferring euploid embryos, the success rate decreases with age.
Some of the hypotheses proposed to explain this are endometrial aging, an undiagnosed uterine factor, and the cellular health of the embryo, which could be affected despite not having chromosomal abnormalities.
