Pregnancy tests with homemade ingredients that grandmothers may have used (such as the vinegar test, the oil test, etc.) are not reliable and have no scientific evidence. Therefore, they should only be done as a game and the result should always be confirmed with a reliable pregnancy test (those available in pharmacies or those performed with a blood sample at the hospital).
Even if these tests are made with home-made ingredients in the best possible way, the lack of sterility, the possible contamination with other substances, the use of undetermined quantities and their high subjectivity make them unreliable. Moreover, there is no scientific evidence to support them.
