Fetal development at 10 weeks

The changes that take place in the fetus at week 10 of pregnancy are the following:

  • The forehead increases in size due to the development of the brain
  • Arms and legs lengthen
  • Ossification of the skeleton begins
  • The yolk sac shrinks until it disappears

The measurements of the fetus with this gestation time are about 3-4 cm and its weight is approximately 5 g.
