The 19th week of pregnancy does not have any outstanding medical control, although it is true that the morphological ultrasound can be performed at any time during the second trimester of pregnancy. If the pregnant woman has a high body mass index, it is advisable to perform the morphological ultrasound towards the end of the second trimester of pregnancy.
Thanks to this ultrasound it is possible to know the size of the baby, but also to detect if there is any malformation in the baby. If there is any fetal malformation and it is incompatible with life, the specialist will advise the termination of the pregnancy.
