Every pregnancy is unique and, as a result, some women will experience discomfort while others will not. However, at 23 weeks of pregnancy, some of the most common discomforts among pregnant women are as follows:
- Painful sensations similar to menstrual cramps, manifested as prickling in the lower abdomen due to muscle tension in the uterus.
- Leg cramps
- Back pain caused by weight gain and change in centre of gravity.
- Heartburn or flatulence, as a result of compression of the abdominal organs due to the growing uterus.
- Fatigue
- Tenderness and/or bleeding of the gums.
