In a regular 28-day menstrual cycle, a woman is expected to ovulate around day 14 of the menstrual cycle (day 1 of the cycle being the first day of menstruation). Thus, the most fertile days will be the days close to ovulation, around days 11-15 of the cycle.
Therefore, the chances of a woman getting pregnant during menstruation are low, since menstruation usually lasts about 5-7 days. However, it is possible to become pregnant while still menstruating, especially if the menstrual cycles are short.
