External female reproductive organs

The female reproductive system consists of both internal and external sexual organs. The external organs include the mons pubis, the labia minora and majora, the clitoris and the vulval vestibule.

The vulval vestibule is the inner part, which contains the urethra, the opening of the vagina, the external accessory organs, and the hymen. The latter is a membrane that surrounds the opening of the vagina.

The main function of these organs is to protect and release lubricant fluids.
