Hi All!
So… my husband and I already have a 6 year daughter, who we conceived naturally. But after 3 years of trying to give her a brother or sister we just haven’t been able to get pregnant. We have been to our doctor and he recommends that we get in touch with an assisted reproduction clinic for some testing and probably IVF, possibily even withan egg donor as I am now 42. I’ve been having a look at a few clinics in the New York area and there are so many it just blows my mind!
So my question is – does anyone want to share their opinions on the NY clinics they have been to? What treatments they had and what their experience was like? Thanks in advance for any help!

I had IVF with egg donation at the Weill Cornell Center for Reproductive Medicine. It´s a big hospital type place so you don´t get that personalized touch but I have to say it was great and I would recommend it. Athough it was busy there, the nurses and the doctors always answered my questions and the counselling really helped me come to terms with using donor eggs.
It was expensive, but our lovely boy was worth every penny and he will be turning 1 next week. We have some leftover embryos on ice there too… so maybe brothers or sisters in the furture… who knows!
Good luck Caitlynn xx

We did an intrauterine insemination at Columbia University Fertility Center. We got lucky on the 3rd go and now 4months pregnant. Good place.

10/06/2022 at 1:05 pmHi there!
We live out in Purchase and decided to go local. We are undergoing IVF at Westmed Reproductive Specialists. Well, to be precise I think we will. We have decided to go for it and booked in to start the cycle in December. They seem very professional to us.
Wish us luck!

Finding the right clinic for you can indeed be a daunting task when there are so many to chose from and so many treatments available.
As you have done, looking on forums for opinions is an excellent way to find information, and it is worth checking out a few in person to see if the “feel” of the clinic is right for you. There is no “one size fits all” recipe in assisted reproduction.
We have analaysed many clinics in the New York area and you can access these from our clinic directory.
I hope this helps and best of luck!
10/07/2022 at 1:22 pmHi Caitlynn,
I have just been for my initial consultation at Boston IVF in New York. I´m kinda in your shoes, being 43, so we were talking about egg donation. I´ve got a whole heap of information to look through now and I need to look at the prices properly as medication doesn´t seem to be included. Let me know what your prices are like so we can compare!!
10/11/2022 at 6:03 pmHey there,
Well we have just signed the consent forms to do a mini IVF at Island Reproductive Services in New York. They were super friendly and I feel really positive. Our treament is $6000, but I think the meds are going to cost me at least $1000 more, I´m still looking into the best places to buy.
I´d defo recommend it if you are close enough.
Good luck!10/14/2022 at 12:38 pm
