This is the reason why this Assisted Reproduction and Gynecology Medical Centre (iGin) was created: to overcome such an obstacle and help them achieve their goal of creating a family.

The clinic

This fertility clinic is located in Bilbao, Biscay, Spain, and specializes in woman's health and assisted reproduction. iGin has a highly-experienced team of experts in the use of cutting-edge assisted reproductive technologies, all of them devoted to offer every patient a comprehensive patient care service.

The clinic is comprised of two main units, that is, the Gynecology Department and the Assisted Reproduction Department. Besides, it is equipped with several medical consultations and private rooms, an in-house laboratory, as well as an operating room. All this is built in a well-connected area that occupies 500 m², surrounded by a walkable, green space that offers peace and recreation.

iGin's team is committed to addressing its patients' urgent consultations within no more than 24 hours. In the case of non-emergency queries, 99% of patients are contacted and given date for an appointment within no more than 72 hours.

Gynecology and Assisted Reproduction

iGin's Obstetrics and Gynecology Department is a unit that has been equipped with state-of-the-art technologies in the field of woman's health. Their goal is to carry out the latest techniques and proposals in order to offer the best possible patient care.

Every woman who places reliance upon iGin to deal with their health and wellness can be sure that they will be offered highly professional patient care, without exception and always in the pursuit of medical approaches able to provide them with optimal quality health care.

The department is divided into the following units: endoscopic surgery, gynecology, obstetrics, and breast disorders. Moreover, here you can find other units that specialize in the treatment of endometriosis, PCOS, menopause, minor and ambulatory surgery...

All patients visiting iGin's Assisted Reproduction Department will be first performed a basic study on fertility in order to rule out the main causes of infertility. Such analysis includes the following tests: basic semen analysis, gynecological ultrasound scan, measurement of basal growth hormone, and hysterosalpingography.

First visit for international patients

First visit in iGin usually lasts around 1 and 2 hours long, depending on each patient and particular case. You can choose between visiting the clinic in person or, conversely, doing it via videoconference from your country, totally free of charge.

In case you choose the former option and your fertility treatment involves using the husband's sperm, iGin will ask you to leave a semen sample for analysis and/or cryopreservation, depending on your particular situation. By doing this, the semen sample will be available for later use.

International patients that choose to carry out their first visit through videoconference can choose between starting the treatment in iGin's center or in their home country with their regular gynecologist. If husband's sperm is used, the couple might have to visit the clinic around 3-6 times, depending on the fertility treatment they are undergoing.

Location

iGin Institute is located in Bilbao, an emblematic city within the Basque Country, in Northern Spain. Although it was born as an industrial city, it soon became what it is today: a beautiful city that offers a wide range of cultural activities, services, and research projects.

iGin is found in an area with close proximity to Bilbao's downtown, specifically between the famous Iberdrola Tower and the Euskalduna Conference Center and Concert Hall. It is also surrounded by various restaurants, hotels, commercial areas, and the parking of the Zubiarte Shopping Center, which is only 40 meters distance from the clinic.

iGin Institute is located in Doña Casilda Iturrizar Park, a full-of-greenery location where you can relax before and after your visit to the clinic. There are direct buses from the airport to the bus stop Gran Vía de Don Diego López de Haro, which is located just about 2-3 minutes walk from iGin.
