Process for testicular self-exploration

Most doctors agree that a testicular examination is a preventive measure to detect early the presence of cancer. The steps to follow are as follows:

1. Palpate the scrotal area.
2. Inspect first one testicle and then the other.
3. Examine the penis.
4. Observe the opening of the urethra.
5. Look at the skin of the penis.

Testicular self-examination should be performed when the male is standing and in the shower.
