When a woman gives birth to a baby, her body must return to normal. Similarly, her menstrual cycle must be reactivated and, for this, the body needs time. One of the factors that influence a woman's return to menstruation after childbirth is the way she feeds her baby.
Women who choose to bottle-feed their baby will have their first period around 8-10 weeks after delivery. On the other hand, if the mother prefers to breastfeed her baby, the first period will have to wait longer, about 3-6 months approximately.
