Fish, shellfish and seaweed are foods rich in iodine that should be included in the diet of pregnant women. Fish with high iodine content include sea bass, cod and perch.
Iodized salt is also recommended by the WHO (World Health Organization) and by doctors during pregnancy, although its consumption should be controlled to avoid arterial hypertension.
Other foods rich in iodine are green leafy vegetables, rice or nuts, among others.
